•I perform human resource actions for recruitment of both seasonal and permanent employees, terminating, assembling and processing paperwork for new employees.
•I distribute information on Retirement, EEO, Grievance, Health and Life insurance, employees’ responsibility and a variety of other personnel functions.
•I am the Uniform Coordinator; I prepare and authorize uniform allowances, activating new employees and termination using the UAA system.
•I am the Travel Coordinator. I prepare travel authorizations, vouchers, update employee profiles, make travel arrangements and apply charges to proper accounts using GOV-TRIP Software. I also keep accurate records of all trips taken by the employees.

Administrative Support Assistant: Capulin is a very small park with only a small staff so I had multiple responsibilities. As a permanent employee, my duties are as follows:

•I am the Tel-Net coordinator and responsible for coordination and distribution of available training from various sources (including mandatory trainings through DOI Learn), assisting co-workers in signing up for training, recording various sessions and maintenance of the roster using administrative access in the Tel Net My Learning Manager System.
•I am the Uniform Coordinator; I prepare and authorize uniform allowances, activating new employees and termination as well as order name tags using the UAA system.

•I am responsible for the Quarters Management Information System (QMIS). I arrange and perform housing check-in and outs, QMIS roll up, data entry of tenants and the duration of stay, issuer of rental contract, and CPI adjustments. I also calculate and prepare yearly reports and Bill of collections for usage of Propane.
•I represent the National Park Service at the Career Fair at Trinidad College in Colorado.
•Performed Orientation for the Public Lands Corp about the park and safety issues in within the Park.

Property Management
•I am responsible for all the property actions such as assignment of property numbers, creating new document records for capitalized and sensitive property items, updates to record documents for items that have been transferred to divisions, park or area, removal of records for lost, sold or destroyed property using Flashpoint.

During the two summer seasonal positions at Capulin Volcano:
•I research, develop and conduct fifteen to twenty minute talks about the history and geology of the Volcano from infants to senior citizens. This includes two visitors to large groups of 130.
•I assist children with the Junior Ranger program and the Ladybug program. I was coordinator of the GPRA Visitor’s Satisfaction Survey for the year 2006 and 2007. This required a set timeline for completion.

•I performed all aspects of Lost and Found items. This includes taking reports of lost items, documenting found items, returning items personally or by communicating with guests on how to return items by mail, keeping a paper trail of all items and donating items to the local goodwill after time period has lapsed.
