JOB DUTIES:

Human Resources Assistant I (Remote Based)

Primary Function(s):

Assist CTO and Team Member Services Managers with Administration of all benefit programs. This includes benefit review, renewals, selection and open enrollments. Develop and maintain the processes related to benefits and other processes as needed to include evaluations and offer letters.   Responsible for assisting TMS with compliance reporting; EEO, VETS and development of AAP and other reports required by statute, regulation or external and internal queries. Assist and process all terminations of benefits due to end of contract or related to employee performance  Provides guidance to Divisional managers with regard to optimization of benefits costs and utilization.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties include, but not limited to:

Under minimal supervision, performs Benefits Administration including claim resolution, change reporting, communicating all benefit information to employees including setup and processing of open enrollment, life events & qualified event determinations.

Develops processes in support of corporate initiatives for TMS.

Assists in the development and implementation of procedures as they relate to the Benefits/Employee experience.

Develops and maintains reports/metrics pertaining to the Benefits and supporting programs.    

Minimum Qualifications:

Working level skills with G-Suite products.

Knowledge of human resources, benefits related requirements, filing of EEO, VETS reporting.

SHRM or PHR certification within one year of hire. (Training Provided)

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Benefits and Team Member Services functions a plus.

Approximately 5% regional travel for quarterly training and development

Description

Assumes responsibility for all HR virtual reception duties: Communicates with employees and visitors, refers to resources as necessary. Responds to incoming telephone calls, emails and inner office chats and direct messaging. Responds appropriately to requests for information from applicants, employees, and community members. Responsible for logging and tracking all documents submitted to assigned caseload. Assists with basic correspondence and performs data entry into computer system. Opens and distributes email on a daily basis.

Provides clerical support to Human Resources. Performs updating of employee information, assists in maintaining employee databases, assists with correspondence as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Post high school clerical/computer training preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: None required.

SKILLS: Communication and clerical skills required. Demonstrated proper business email telephone etiquette and positive interpersonal skills. Strong customer service skills and effective communication skills required; excellent organizational skills and ability to deal with multiple projects and duties; keyboarding, data entry, and alpha/numeric filing skills. Ability to use modern office equipment including online telephone, computer. Solid computer skills with ability to learn new software programs. Must maintain confidentiality of information. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office a plus. Previous remote work history preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Two years reception and clerical experience. Human Resources healthcare setting preferred.

-Responsible to: Manager, Compensation & Benefits

Works in clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment. Working hours are varied, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies. These are home based positions and applicants must display the ability to maintain a proper work station and environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires the ability to speak clearly and listen attentively, and develop and communicate written materials. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time, as well as standing, stooping, and stretching.
